Hi there! My name is Bree and I’m the owner of Literary Collectors!
Those close to me would tell you I’m an avid book enthusiast, (aspiring to have my own personal library like in Beauty and the Beast!) that I devour books in a day and series in a week and just love to be immersed in different realities and stories.
I really fell in love with reading back in 2014 when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I’d spend most of my days reading or writing my own novels and just dove head first into another world to escape my own. It was a special place I had found that made me feel so happy and I knew from then that I’d wanted to publish my own stories (we’ll get there one day!)
Fast forward a few years to 2021. I was lost about what I wanted to do thanks to the pandemic and still dabbled a little in my writing, so I looked into publishing and it really shocked me. The difficulty you had as an author to try and sign yourself to a publishing company and then they take most of your earnings from your own creations, leaving you with not much at all absolutely astounded me. Then I discovered self publishing! How much better it is for the authors to actually get paid properly for their novels and the control they have over them as well! I decided that whenever I planned to actually write one of my many plots that I’d go with self publishing to get it out there. Sadly there’s a still a stigma around self published authors not being ‘real authors’ which is devastating and completely untrue.
So I decided to launch Literary Collectors, to share the amazing works of indie authors and give them the spotlight they so rightfully deserve! To give them a place where they could reach a different audience from their own and to also support them as much as I can!
I have many plans for Literary Collectors which I hope I can do all of them one day, and I can’t wait to share this adventure with you all!
