Far From Home (Paperback) by Devon May

When Lara agreed to come to Canada, she hadn’t planned to be alone. But plans change and now she’s cold, lonely, and halfway around the world. And although the snow seems to bite at her skin, the thought of returning to her coastal hometown hurts more than the frostbite threatening her little toe.

This small mountain village in British Columbia is Riley’s escape, too. But with only one season left on his working holiday visa, his time is running out. The last thing he wants to do is spend his final season in the snow looking after a woman who seems like she belongs on the beach instead of the mountain.

But when the two end up snowed in to Lara’s tiny cabin before the snowboarding season has even begun, the pair forge an unlikely friendship. And as the winter unfolds and their feelings grow, they’re faced with the realisation that their relationship has a finite end date.

Lara can’t go home, and Riley can’t stay, but is their love strong enough to survive the distance?

Far From Home is a slow burn, small town, snowed in, winter sports romance about running away, finding home, and falling in love.
